Mark and Jay get big wins; Twomey takes a loss; Standings

In the year's most important fight so far, Timothy Bradley of Mark's team took on Devon Alexander of Twomey's team. Both champions were undefeated going into the fight. Bradley was the aggressor early, landing some hard shots against the ropes. Alexander boxed his way back into the fight, but Bradley landed the bigger shots in every round. A headbutt in round 10 ended the fight as Alexander claimed that he couldn't see, even though he seemed confused about which eye had been headbutted. Thankfully, the judges saw it unanimously for the deserving Bradley. Mark gains 2 pts with the win and Twomey loses -1.

Jay's team grabbed a win as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. got a win over his latest overmatched opponent. Chavez Jr. earned a unanimous 10-round decision over Billy Lyell and gets 1 pt for his troubles.

2011 Starts out the wrong way; Upcoming fights

Once again, Evander Holyfield proved he is no Bernard Hopkins. While the 46-year-old Hopkins seems capable of not only competing with, but actually defeating the top current champions, 48-year-old Evander Holyfield has been handpicking scrubs lately to defeat for safe, modest paydays. Well, it didn't work out that way on Saturday night. According to reports, Holyfield was rocked in round 3 by his opponent, Sherman Williams, after being cut in the 2nd round from an unintentional headbutt. Following round 3, Holyfield said he couldn't see and the fight was stopped, declared a No Decision b/c it hadn't gone at least 4 rounds. The No Decision will be scored a -1, the same as a Draw against a non-quality opponent. BWhit's Yo Gabba Gabba squad moves to 2-2-1. The stubborn Holyfield moves to 43-10-2, now with 1 No Decision. Here's hoping that the following upcoming fights will be a lot better:

Jan 29- Devon Alexander (Brian T) vs Timothy Bradley (Mark)
Feb 12- Steve Cunningham (Andrew) vs Enad Licena
Feb 19- Nonito Donaire (Mark) vs Fernando Montiel (Jon)
Mar 19- Vitali Klitschko (Jay) vs Odlanier Solis (JoelB)
