Pacquiao vs Mosley

Saturday night features a rare must-see pay-per-view between two top fighters. Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2) of Twomey's team faces Shane Mosley (46-6-1) of Jay's team in what will certainly be one of the year's biggest boxing events. Fans should expect an entertaining bout, as both fighters are the aggressive kind and the reward for victory will be enormous. Most people expect that the winner of this fight will step into the ring with Floyd Mayweather, hopefully in the fall. Let's hope Floyd is up to it.

My expectation for the fight is a 10th round TKO for Pacquiao, of Twomey's Raging Bulls. Mosley is probably stronger than Manny, but he has a hard time landing lots of punches at this stage of his career. Even if Mosley does have early success (and he might), Pacquiao is likely to come back with an offensive onslaught unlike anything Mosley has had to deal with. Pacquiao's workrate and speed should be the difference, and I expect that Mosley's ability to deal with the hard punches to the head and body may start to fade as the fight progresses. I'm expecting a win for Pacquiao, if not by TKO then at least on points. An upset win would be huge for Jay's Head Hunters.
