Froch wins; Chavez Jr becomes a champion; Standings

Carl Froch of Mesiti's Brewed Stew moved to 28-1 with a 12-round majority decision over tough veteran Glen Johnson (51-15-2). While I have yet to see the fight, reports indicate that it was action-packed and that Froch deserved the victory. Froch earns 2 pts with the win and pushes Mesiti's team to a perfect 7-0-1. With no fights left on the schedule, Mesiti's team looks to be in control of the league title.

The carefully managed Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was able to use an aggressive body attack to defeat Sebastian Zbik for the WBC Middleweight Title. Chavez Jr. was judged to be the winner by 12-round majority decision, although punchstats indicate that Zbik had more landed punches. Nonetheless, the victory gives Jay's Head Hunters 2 points, and a record of 6-1-1.
