With a whimper, not a bang, Wladimir Klitschko defeated a backpedalling David Haye by 12-round Unanimous Decision. After an extensive promotional buildup to the fight, boxing fans were hoping that we'd get something we haven't seen in a long time: a 2-sided, high quality, heavyweight championship fight. We didn't get that. What we got was 2 cautious fighters fighting virtually the same performance in every round: Klitschko firing jabs, Haye throwing 3 or 4 windmill shots. Klitschko wasn't great, but Haye wasn't even good. The win gives Bryn 2 pts and moves The Girl's Team to 4-1-1. With Vitali Klitschko owning the WBC belt, Wladimir added Haye's WBA Title to their collection, making the brothers the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
In Argentina, Mark's Celestino Caballero suffered a hard-luck split decision loss to Jonathan Victor Barros. Reports indicate that the verdict may have been the product of hometown judging. Mark's team falls to 5-2.
